Welcome to our wonderful little pub….the Barley Mow at Bonsall. The pub is over 200 years old, and is steeped in history and has many interesting stories to tell! Currently, it sees and sells itself as a small, quirky, boutique and fairly bohemian pub, with a great and well earned reputation for several things. A well kept and interesting range of real ales and cask ciders, generous portions of home-cooked and locally sourced food, an interesting, varied, friendly and welcoming gang of regulars, poetry nights, open mic nights, Film Night, French speaking club, Vinyl Nights, Jazz Nights, and the most amazing free and live music and entertainment. This is topped off with the kind of incredible atmosphere money simply cannot buy.

The Natterjacks are an indie folk duo hailing from the historic market town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire. They set out with our guitar and banjo, accompanied by the forceful thud of a kick drum and smatter of tambourine to create an energetic live atmosphere with sing-along choruses and foot stomping, banjo filled breakdowns.

The duo consists of Freddie Bingham & Mark Evans. Who began playing together in the winter of 2010 after being friends at school for a number of years and as time progressed, so did the music, leading to the formation of “The Natterjacks” with influnces from Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, The Avett Brothers, Bombay Bicycle Club and many more.

Following their debut album, “Highlands” and our following EP, “In The Bark”, which led to slots on some top festivals including a set for BBC Introducing at Derbyshire’s Y Not Festival, they are now set to release a second album ‘White Peak’, with tracks from this album getting a debut national radio play from Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2.
